Birthday

Another late entry. Had my 21st birthday last monday. Finally. Come to think of it, quite cool to have my special 21st birthday on then 21st of a month! Well... ... ...

Received many sms from friends... of which some whom I hadnt really met up for quite some time. Really touched by them... Let me try to recall some of them... Theres... Chen Xi, Samantha, Fong Ling, Xiu Qing (oh, she has the same birthday as me!), Grace, Gary, Xin Yin, Judy, Fu Qi, Farand, Fredrick, Elaine, Mamba, Hui Min (was so paiseh when I have to ask her "Thanx! But u r?.."), Jiayin, Yinghui, Cindy and of cos... Lijun. **Disclaimer... This list is not exhaustive...**

Well, it was a birthday spent in a special way as well. Early in the morning, I had a nice surprise by Lijun and we ate up 1 whole OREO ice-cream cake, It was really really nice, just that the proportion is just really too large for 2 pax. And... I received my first present!

I went for my lessons till afternoon... Thereafter, I went to SSA for my ULBTC. Fancy going for a Scouts course, which is commonly perceived to be very boring, on my 21st birthday. I guess I was out of my mind! However, it was kinda nice when my bros went up to the front of the class and led a birthday song for me. Really sweet. After that, I was in a dilemma to come back to hall or go back home. I chose to return to 5-107 due to a more convenient mode of transport. Well, I didnt regret that! After I came back, cheeky Jie Ke went to notify whoever whoever that ZJ had booked in and I was "invited" to supper, together with the other birthday boy Yong Feng. Well, we were totally surprised when we entered the communal hall. They actually had a cake for us! There, I had my 2nd (or should I say third) round of birthday songs... 感动。。。

Yesterday, my dearest Hse Reps from LIGNUM rounded everything up with a Stingray, Sotong, Kang Kong, Bak Kut Teh, Claypot Rice spread at clementi. Its really nice to meet up again. Fun old chaps...

Received quite a few prezzies this year... thanx Cindy for the thoughtful "make-up" gift, thanx Lignum for the "Raffles Polo T" (which is on the way of getting changed...)++, thanx Chen Xi for the shirt, thanx Lijun... for everything... oh of cos thanx blk 5 for the cake! (Well, dont think they will get to see this also... ha...)

Tired... Shall catch some sleep before lecture...

Cheers
ZJ

++I saw someone wearing the same shirt same colour in hall!! Eeks!!

Finally...

Finally...

It has been some time since i was able to post anything. Well, for god-know-what reasons, my blog was "detected" as a "spam-blog" by blogger.com and they suspended me from posting any stuff! That explains the late posting for the previous entry as well... Finally, they "reviewed" and cleared my status and "apologise for any inconvinience caused". Tsk.

Well, It has been a week since school has started. Life is definitely NOT as hectic as JC days. Thats something glad to hear. In fact, its quite relax for me thus far. My earliest lesson starts at 10am. Thats good as it allows me to wake up at a reasonable timing, go for a morning jog, take my breakfast in hall, and still have some time to laze around before hitting the lecture theatres. Lessons end normally between 2pm to 4pm, with an exception of the lab day.

My mods are generally fine. The supposedly stone-ny and boring physics seems to have some great lecturers! They make me feel quite interested in the topics that they are teaching. Their enthusiasm and urge to bring the idea across via all possible methods (even in LT!) makes me feel the excitement in the course. Maths, on the other hand, seems to have a old and crappy lecturer. Didnt know whats exactly going on... Looks like I will have to depend a lot of webcast and myself already... The people taking the course seems freaky too. Just a look at the stuff they post on the forum freaks me out. Hello... it made me feel like I am only in Pri sch looking at a University forum.

Life after school is fun! Games, food, crapping, music. Oh, not to forget some mugging. Currently having the Inter Block Games aka IBG. Tried to participate in it as much as possible. Quite fun. Thinking of joining soccer and volleyball IF I am able to "pass the trial"... The bones in me are already aching for some action... Ha...

Its 0220hrs now. Time to rest for a GREAT WEEKEND!~ (I hope =P)

Cheers

National Day 2006

National Day 2006

This entry came 2 days late.. Its the 11th today. I was too tired the past 2 days to pen down anything. Either that, if not means the server was perpectually down till I just switched off my laptop...

Well, being in this world for 21 years (soon...), this is my FIRST national day spent out of Singapore! I went to Malaysia JB for a half day tour!!

I didnt started off exactly too good. I guess I am not the only soul who wants to have a short getaway from this city. There's a LOOONNGGGG queue at the custom and it took me almost an hour to clear the customs. The queues were merging everywhere! I think that there should be something done to solve this problem... Perhaps longer queue poles? Think they really works well.

Once out of the freaking sardine can, we headed straight to City Square! Well, its the nearest shopping centre around with reasonable pricing, so... why not? The movie i realised is so cheap! Its RM6 for a show only! When we went in, there were some commercial going on and it states that if we are to watch any show before noon, it would be EARLY BIRD PRICE at only RM5!! Gosh... Where am I to find a better deal... Next time I am gonna go in EARLY in the morning and come back at night, having done only 1 type of activity. Haha.

Food at the roadside hawker is always something I loved. Its cheaper and tastier (mos of the times) and there is always this nice "feeling" to be eating there. Haha. My sister always says that too! Had a great spread of food... Char kway teow, hokkien mee, oyster omelette, chicken wings, otah, popiah, soya bean drink, sugar cane drink... Shiok.

Next up came all the adventourous stuff for me... First, we happily jaywalk across the road and started walking back towards Singapore. Halfway, we realised that the checkout custom for Malaysia is actually BEFORE the bus stop! We have left Malaysia illegally! Well, conclusion is that their barricade and stuff sucks. Any ah-cat ah-dog can easily get out without going through the customs! Nvm... we made out way through the zig-zagging traffic and managed to get back to clear the customs...

When I reached home around 11.30pm, totally shag out, something happened. I was waiting for my house lift when I heard an old grandmother voice from above me calling "ah boy...". I swear its not hallucination... and I was alone at that point of time. My hair rose and felt a chill down my spine. LITERALLY. How I wish for the lift to open right in front of me immediately. I looked up and realised the lift had just descended to 6th floor from 11th floor. Then it came again, with a more draggy tone... "ah boooyyyyyyy......". I refused to look up and stared at the lift (as though it will help to make the lift come down faster... lol). Finally the door opened and I ran in. Just as the door was closing... "AH boy...." Well, I am quite positive it is some old granny living between floor 2 and 5, who is bored that is doing the calling... BUT its the 7th month now, and its just too eerie to check it out...

What a National Day for me. I am sure to catch the re-telecast on Saturday.... Ha. I really enjoyed my day out at Malaysia...

Cheers

My Room is NOT a Toilet!!

My Room is NOT a Toilet!!

Ha! Finally the truth is revealed! My room is NOT a toilet. It was a LAUNDRY ROOM! Well, not that it is much consolation, but its still sounds better than a toilet-convert. Actually, I dont really care about it. I guess I am sort of a easily-pleased person that doesnt really mind the stuff around me.

Yesterday was a rather fun night. We had a mini local gathering in my room... Well, I didnt know how it started... But, slowly more nad more locals strolled in and chatted. Well, it was getting a little too nationalistic at certain times for comfort though. Haha. It is indeed heartwarming to see and meet such people. Well, at least I know that there are people living around me that I really can click.

Well, it was a tough time trying to remember names too... In fact, it was quite comical... After chatting for a long time, suddenly someone took up the courage to surface the "paiseh" question... "What is your name huh?"... Then it came a sudden realisation that most of us dont know each other's name. Well, locals unite eh... Dont know names also can talk... Ha. I set myself a resolution today... I must try to remember at least my own block peeps names ASAP. Say... 2 more people a day? Pardon me... My memory isnt very good.

Surfing the web now... Realise NUS IVLE quite interesting and fun. Round 2A just started. Gosh... the bidding are soooo high! Seems like there is a real need to think through my mods and come up with a plan B just in case... Stress xia. Haa.

Cheers

A corner. A small hole.

A corner. A small hole.

Today is Sunday. Supposed to be out running. Supposed to be out on a beach. I am now in hall. Staring at the computer screen. Today is Sunday.

Lazing around now, the "NUAHZ" mood sure is in. Perhaps later I will go for a run. Play bball as well.

Hiding here in my small corner, hiding here in my small hole. Me.

Cheers

Thoughts...

Thoughts

1. I hate people that are late. I try my best to be early as much as possible (which I often managed to do so...) When we are late, we not only waste our own time, but we waste other people's time as well. Who knows, others might have other programmes on, so here, the snowballing efect will take place and people will get pissed off. I just cant empahsize any furthur on the importance of having a "shi jian guan nian".

2. Frustrated. I just cant string things together. There is no external factor. I checked back with myself. Its ok. But, I dont know...
